lone ceramics is a suffolk based ceramics studio founded by jess, a potter drawn to the sublime.

borne from a kindship with mother earth, lone ceramics honours her through moody, rich tones inspired by the local landscape. experimenting with shape and texture gives the pieces a sense of uniqueness and grounds them in jess's personality. the result - subtle, uncomplicated art that compliments any minimalist space.

whether they perch on a display shelf, or intimately rest in the curvature of your hand, these functional pieces are intended to sit with you in the small moments of your day.

and yet, they are so much more than just simple pots. they are a symbol of the everlasting human connection to the earth, and a ten thousand year old practice that she has bestowed upon us. little else has the ability to withstand the mark of time, and so it persists, this innate need to express ourselves through what we are so freely given.

lone ceramics, therefore, is a commitment to the rejection of modern pressures and machinations designed to suppress the self. it's a small revolution - a celebration of nature and the human condition.
